Burn Baby Burn
I received some news today that upset me a bit and to be quite honest, it kinda effed up my whole day.? Basically, without going into too much detail, I performed a service for a client, a service that I don’t typically offer.? I told him this and specifically stated, “you can pay me what you feel is fair”.? I left the ball in his court.? The next time I saw him, he told me to “invoice” him.? Now, I interpreted that as a counter to my original statement that subliminally meant, “just invoice me as I don’t want to overbid on the project”.? So that’s what I did.? Then today, I hear from a mutual acquaintance that the client feels that I price-gouged him.? The mutual acquaintance then gave me a mini-lecture about building relationships and networking, saying that I shouldn’t have charged so much.
It’s going to be another late night
Things are really going to explode in a big way for my business soon.? I say that because I have been making major progress in many facets.? Last July when I was at the Short Sales Riches seminar in Las Vegas, I learned some cool tips on short selling and birddogging short sale leads.? Still at it
8 hours later and I’ve only completed the materials for the car.? DAMN!!! I have definitely got to setup a system to outsource this stuff, if I receive additional requests for this service.? I can’t stand looking at a computer screen this long.? Now, granted I did have to run a 40 minute errand while working on this, but I still should be done by now.
Labor Day is for working…right?
It’s now Monday and while folks are BBQ’ing, having drinks, and playing frisbee, I am couped inside getting some work done.? This has been one of my more productive weekends, I need more 3-day weekends like this.
