So as I promised at the beginning of the year, I’m going to pull the curtain back on a lot more of my day to day business. Otherwise this blog is going to die from my boredom. So, I here now disclose more to make this more interesting to contribute to and for you to read.

It’s the end of another long night. It’s actually 4:18am right now and I’m just now wrapping up my Monday. I kind of had to redeem myself from earlier today because I spent nearly the ‘entire’ day stuck on a technical issue with one of my websites. Thus, the reason I don’t have a passion for anything IT (Information Technology). Things are beautiful when they work…but when they don’t, I feel like breaking stuff! But, the good news is that I got it taken care of. Instead of going the manual route, I had to break-down and buy a plugin to do all of the dirty work for me. That’s what I get for being cheap, I guess. But enough about technical stuff for now.
I’ve been thinking all day today (in between curse words spewed at my computer screen) about how to take this blog to the next level. To be honest, I’m starting to get bored with it. And I think, if I was a reader, I’d be a bit bored of reading it too. I’ve been keeping this journal for just over 2 years. And it’s time to kick things up a notch to make it more enticing to read and as important, more enticing for me to want to contribute.

Yo! So I turned Thirty today. And I’m loving it. Thank God for the privilege to see another birthday! And that is for shizzle. Statisically, I think I was supposed to be dead or in jail like 5 years ago or earlier. That’s both funny and not funny at the same time.

I’ve got a quick tip this evening that I figured I’d share. This tip isn’t so much related to real estate but it can come in handy as I’ve been using it for quite some time. It’s called “ScrapBook” and it’s a Firefox add-in. With this add-in, you can save a series of webpages for off-line viewing. You may be saying to yourself, “what’s the big deal, I can do that already”. Well, while it’s true that with most web browsers you can download a page for later viewing. With this add-on you can download an entire website for later viewing. And while viewing the off-line version, you wouldn’t notice that it wasn’t live.

I’ve only been using TimeTrade for a day and I love it already. I have 4 phone appointments to speak with Realtors that have short-sale listings later this morning. I just sent them an email and asked to speak with them about their short-sale listings. Then I got emails as they started scheduling appointments and it automatically goes right in my Outlook calendar. This may not seem like a big deal, but I’m soooo tired of not being efficient, communication-wise. Basically, it boils down to “working-dumb”. I hate that feeling of working in vein.

So today I was working on reaching out to Realtors to talk about short-sale collaborations and such. I was doing so via email since it was after-hours and I really am not sure if Realtors really check their voicemails. I mean if you don’t have their personal cellphone, good luck contacting them via the 4 office numbers that you have on file for them. So anyway, after about the 6th email…it became clear to me that I was going about this all wrong. I felt like I was setting myself up for the infamous touch and go game of email and/or phone tag.
