Hey, it’s been a while since I’ve written. I’ve been so bogged down with stuffing my deal pipeline, ain’t had no time to blog. But the good news, is that there will be some changes made to this website soon that will allow me to dynamically update it without necessarily taking the time out to write. I’m really looking forward to that. And I think you’ll like it too. This plan will unfold in align with what I wrote about earlier, concerning being “open source“. So be on the lookout for some changes soon.

I’ve got a quick tip this evening that I figured I’d share. This tip isn’t so much related to real estate but it can come in handy as I’ve been using it for quite some time. It’s called “ScrapBook” and it’s a Firefox add-in. With this add-in, you can save a series of webpages for off-line viewing. You may be saying to yourself, “what’s the big deal, I can do that already”. Well, while it’s true that with most web browsers you can download a page for later viewing. With this add-on you can download an entire website for later viewing. And while viewing the off-line version, you wouldn’t notice that it wasn’t live.

A week has passed and I’ll review my one-week goals due today:
Tasks:
1. Make at least 10 offers on properties listed on MLS – FAIL
2. Brush up on REO literature so I can start making REO offers too – PASS
3. Distribute my new door hangers with brochures to select Urbana neighborhoods – FAIL
4. Find more cash-buyers (section 8 landlords, find past cash buyers in MLS, members of Central Illinois Apartment Association) – PASS
5. Put something together for a CraigsList nationwide cash-buyer campaign – FAIL
