So as I promised at the beginning of the year, I’m going to pull the curtain back on a lot more of my day to day business. Otherwise this blog is going to die from my boredom. So, I here now disclose more to make this more interesting to contribute to and for you to read.

Hey everyone. I hope that you all had a good Christmas holiday and gained 8 lbs just like me. Naw, just joking about that last part. I don’t hope you gained weight, but I definitely did. Too much pecan pie and ham and what not. But ’tis the season, right?
Which leads me into my next endeavor. For the last month and a half I’ve been in the gym pretty consistently. But, there’s only so much you can do without professional guidance.
So I was on a blog called JetSetLife.TV (which is very inspiring by the way), and I read about how Rob got fed up with the ordinary workout routines that he did for years and decided to get f*$@ing ripped. So, that’s what I’m about to do…why not? Read more…
It’s the end of another long night. It’s actually 4:18am right now and I’m just now wrapping up my Monday. I kind of had to redeem myself from earlier today because I spent nearly the ‘entire’ day stuck on a technical issue with one of my websites. Thus, the reason I don’t have a passion for anything IT (Information Technology). Things are beautiful when they work…but when they don’t, I feel like breaking stuff! But, the good news is that I got it taken care of. Instead of going the manual route, I had to break-down and buy a plugin to do all of the dirty work for me. That’s what I get for being cheap, I guess. But enough about technical stuff for now.
I’ve been thinking all day today (in between curse words spewed at my computer screen) about how to take this blog to the next level. To be honest, I’m starting to get bored with it. And I think, if I was a reader, I’d be a bit bored of reading it too. I’ve been keeping this journal for just over 2 years. And it’s time to kick things up a notch to make it more enticing to read and as important, more enticing for me to want to contribute.

I just got my brochures and flyers in and I am impressed!? I outsourced the design to a friend from college who I mentioned in an earlier post and she knocked this out of the park like I knew she would.? I just basically gave her the creative room to do what she does, she used my website as a reference tool, and she did her thing.? I love it.? If you’d be interested in contacting her for some of your marketing materials, her name is Tabitha Vickers and her company is Spazz Group and she has very good rates.
Okay, so after my post last night, I took immediate action.? I bugged a college friend who is a marketing wiz (MBA) and does graphic design until I finally got in touch with her via phone earlier today.? I ran my concept past her, as far as needing a brochure to put on houses explaining that I buy houses fast.? I’m leaving the graphics and marketing concept completely up to her as I know she’ll knock it out of the park.? She just started her own marketing company and I’m glad I’m getting to her early, because once she’s established she will cost an arm and a leg.? I’ve seen some of her past work and I know she’ll do good with this.? I’ll hopefully be able to outsource some other marketing materials to her too.? I like to find someone who does good work and stick with them.

Things are really going to explode in a big way for my business soon.? I say that because I have been making major progress in many facets.? Man, I have been slacking completely on my blogging. I’m back on it though. I haven’t posted any ‘Accountability Tuesday’ updates lately because as I mentioned, I wasn’t going to do so until I completed the launch of my direct mail campaign. It’s still not launched yet. I’m very close however, as I have the mail-merge setup, all of the stationary, and I’ve selected a college student with nice handwriting to handwrite my envelopes and stuff them (all 900 for $120 or $0.13 each). This same college student is going to act as my phone receptionist and field my calls during the day. I found this girl on CraigsList and haven’t met her yet, however she stands far above the other candidates and just from the looks of her on paper. She sent me her resume and this girl is solid, college senior, great relevant work experience, good GPA, etc. I’m to meet her this weekend so that I can get her the materials to get started on this first project of hers’. I can already tell, this girl is a real go-getter…my kind of people. I’m already loving the idea of having a local assistant.
Another Friday night posted at my favorite spot; On the couch, with my laptop on a TV-dinner table. I fell asleep, after going for a long-run (7 miles and could’ve ran more, I still got it!) after work at around 10pm and now I’m up at 3:43am. Don’t know what that’s all about. I’m trying to decide if I should go back to sleep or start Saturday now. Either way, I’m blogging in the meantime.
