So the last post in this CraigsList Domination series, covered the CraigsList Email grabbing software. Hopefully, Tim (the winner of the software), is enjoying his copy. But now we’re moving onward and upward. It’s time to jump in to part 2 of this series.
If you’ve been with me for a while, you may have noticed that I’ve been going head to head against Craigslist for quite some time now. Testing out what works, what doesn’t, etc. Back when I was blogging for BiggerPockets.com, I contributed about the CraigsList technique that this post revolves around.
Apparently, that article was fairly popular, but many of the folks who posted in the comments had various issues getting the HTML code to workout for them. Soooo, I put together the form below, which takes all of the dirty work out of using the “YouTube in CraigsList” technique. All you have to do is supply your image that you want to link to and the link that you want to take the user to upon “click”. And that’s it! I’ve programmed this thing to kick you back the HTML you need to just copy and paste in to your ad. And on top of that, I’m actually hosting the images for you! Ain’t it swell?!

It’s been sometime since I’ve taken a step back and reflected on what I’ve been doing right and wrong in my business. And I’ll admit that one of the main things that I’ve been doing wrong is speaking with unmotivated sellers. Now hear me out…I do realize that to find “motivated sellers” you must sift through numerous “unmotivated sellers”. However, I believe that the process of sifting through the unmotivated, slowly drains you…your morale and overall motivation. Ideally, one would outsource this task and avoid such a phenomena. But if outsourcing it is not in your budget, you have to work around this.

I’ve door-knocked for short-sales for two days now.? And honestly after getting that first one out of the way…it isn’t that bad (ok, ok, you got me…I couldn’t keep a straight face while even typing that…it still sucks…but it just sucks a little bit less now).? But I now have a better feel for the approach on these things after some practice.

I finally got this video uploaded that I made a couple of weeks ago.? I don’t know why, but YouTube acts a little flaky sometimes with uploads.? Am I the only one experiencing this?? Anyway, this video goes over how I was able to streamline my offers to listed properties.? All that I had to do was setup a mail-merge and utilize the “Convert to Adobe PDF and email” function.? I’ve been slipping up on my blogging lately.? A once a week frequency, isn’t really blogging.? But I’m still out here in these streets making things happen.? I’ve got two closings that are of utmost priority at this point.? I’ll have tons of stuff to write about once those happen.? I mean I have some things to write about that you could learn from…even from a rookie like me.? So with that said, doing all of this blogging with no deals to talk about is getting old.? I know this is supposed to document my journey and all, but it feels like I’ve been writing for the last year about a cake that hasn’t finished baking.? I mean…I already told you the recipe I used, I don’t know what else to tell you besides it’s still in the oven.

Well I take that back, I guess I’ve been productive as I was just over at www.mytechopininion.com which is a tech website for those in Real Estate. Pretty cool stuff over there, check it out when you’re able.? And I also watched a few YouTube videos that focus on some new advertising methods.? I love YouTube to death, I swear…anything you ever wanted to learn, you can find it there.? It’s now the number two search engine, by the way.? Just a little fun-fact.? It’s second to Google.

Not too much to talk about tonight. I’m actually still recovering from the all-nighter from two nights ago. I can’t pull all nighter’s like I used to. Maybe it’s because I’m getting old. Or maybe it’s because when I have them I usually have to spend 8 hours at the 9-to-5, the next day versus a few hours at school. Yeah, I’m going with the latter.? I ain’t old yet, although my left knee creeks at the gym.

I finished the 1007 Beaver Creek video at around 3:00am.? Since I have to be in at work at 7, I figured what is the point in sleeping.? So here I am.? I’ve been trying to perfect some settings on my WordPress blog this evening, huge time drain.? As you may have noticed, I switched the theme.? I only did that because the old one had a column of info that I could not manipulate.
